Lanny Smith is a Hightower HS and University of Houston graduate, with a B.S in Kinesiology. He was a 4 year letterman for the Cougars, and recieving 3rd team All Conference USA honors in 2006. He also had NBA workouts with the Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs upon graduation. He was a member of the Hosuton Rockets summer league following his senior season, and took his game professionally to the NBA D League. This is his second season in the NBDL as a member of the Idaho Stampede.
